Lita Rossana Ford She was a British-born American singer, guitarist and writer. In the late 70s she was the guitarist in the hard rocking All-girl group The Runaways. The band didn't have an enormous following in the United States. However, their fame grew internationally especially in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career when the group ended in 1979. She took vocal lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out for Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. The two albums didn't have much success, and Ford was largely absent from the world of rock for a couple of years. In 1988, she came back to the world of music with an amazing album titled "Lita. The lead track "Kiss me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. Sadly, her fame was brief and she disappeared from the world of music for a number of decades. Her re-emergence was with the albums "Black" in 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland" nearly 15 years after. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
