Ina Garten is well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina began her career working in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy reports. Her first impression was that her job as stimulating intellectually, however, she eventually lost interest and purchased a tiny food specialty store named Barefoot Contessa. After nearly 18 years of making the shop a massive success she sold it, and then began writing her first book. Many more cookbooks and magazine columnists that followed. Another success was the Food Network Television show. Ina sells a variety of items, from the ingredients needed for cooking to kitchenware and storage. Ina has never attended any cookery schools nor worked in a restaurant. Ina is a self-taught cook. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining as well as her simple cooking style are well known.
